Cold water immersion can be a trigger for TGA, leading to a sudden, temporary inability to form new memories and some retrograde amnesia, but without a loss of personal identity or consciousness. Episodes are usually short, resolving within 24 hours. While sea swimming is a known potential trigger, it's important to consult a doctor if you experience such symptoms to determine the cause and rule out other conditions
